In the past blog and videos in my Personal Brand Series, I’ve talked about the approaches you can take to building your own brand, creating your website and using social media. I also had a chat with Amy Sewell, a Brand Communication Consultant.

Amy represents retailers and consumer brands on TV newscasts and lifestyle shows. With more than 2,000 live television interviews to her credit, she has represented brands ranging from Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Procter & Gamble to Bed Bath & Beyond, Omaha Steaks, and Godiva Chocolatier.

In addition to her television work, Amy teaches business and communication courses at the university level. Particularly relevant to our conversation is a class she developed on Personal & Professional Branding and helping individuals define and communicate their brands. A few of you might already know Amy since she is married to Scott Sewell, a nine-time Dynamics MVP, and now a Microsoft Black Belt in the business applications group.
