Dynamics Translation Service(DTS) deprecated – What is next?

Microsoft has announced the deprecation of Microsoft Dynamics Translation Service effective from October 15, 2025.

What is DTS?

Hosted in LCS and used by Partners and ISV providers to translate their solutions or add a new language .

When deprecated, it is also not possible to retrieve the translation request outputs stored in the DTS page. The service will be removed from LCS.

What to plan?

• Users should plan to download these output files before Oct 15 2025.
• Azure DevOps users should remove the translation tasks from build pipeline else the pipeline will fail as the DTS will be unreachable.

How to handle the translation after DTS ?

Recommended to use Microsoft Custom Translator.

Custom Translator – Azure AI Translator

One of the service in Azure AI family which can be used with any Operating system.

Features include

• Text translations – Execute text translation between supported source and target languages in real time
• Document translations -Translates multiple and complex documents across all supported languages while preserving original document structure and data format.
• Custom translations – Programmatically accessed through a dedicated API. The API allows users to manage the creating or updating of training through their own app or web service.
