AI for Marketing Preview (my first look)

AI for Marketing Preview (my first look)

Its mad to look at the calendar this week and see that in single figure (overnight) sleeps that an event I have been organising with @TheMarkChrisitie will be here and there is no going back. If you have not seen us promoting that on Saturday 26th January 2019 in Glasgow at Strathclyde University TIC we are hosting #D365SaturdayScotland. Where have you been….why are you reading my blog??

We have been using the hashtag #D365SatSco to promote this on social media. This got me to thinking that we should be using Social engagement to monitor this and the activity around the event to see how its landing.

However I then received this email to let me know that Microsoft Social Engagement service is in fact coming to an end. Weird coincidental timing but interesting at the same point

But fear not it will be replace with some AI powered insights in the way of “AI for Market Insights”

For which I was able to set up a preview of from here https://dynamics.microsoft.com/en-gb/ai/market-insights/

Once the instance was provisioned it was fairly straight forward to setup the ‘Search Setup’ categories.

Where I was able to define the rules for the ‘Keyword’ Search

Once I had defined the sources I wanted to listen on and languages I then added the Keywords I wanted to listen for.

On saving this the system will then perform a calculation to check if the search is with in your quota and if so will continue to then monitor. If it going to exceed the quota you will be prompted to refine the configured rule to stay with in the monthly quota or to increase the quota.

Once you have defined where and what to listen for, the rich data then comes flooding in for you to analyse. You can connect to D365 CE to create cases, look at the sentiment of the mentions and see trends, locations.

I am planning to explore this tool much more and see its full potential and rich feature set. Once I have completed a deeper dive and have more data who knows where this will go. .
