Schedule Board Default Search Dates – Field Service

I have been working with a customer recently who had what I thought was a very simple requirement, but putting that requirement into practice was not as easy as I thought it would be.

On the Schedule Board (Field Service) filter there are the options for “Search Start” and “Search End”

Normally you would map the fields using promise to and from dates on the Work order

But in this instance, there are to be no promise dates or mapped dates at all………… So where do the dates come from? You’ll see right away it adds a start date and then adds 5 days to get the end date

Thanks to some help from @TheMarkChristie & lots of help from @DanGittler  I came to the following answer:  The “Search Start” is the current time and “Search End” is until the last day of your schedule board date range.

You can increase how many days show on your schedule board up to (14 days) by logging in as an admin, clicking the book button on any record, clicking the sb setting on top right, and changing the number of days on the board. This will update the schedule board settings record for anyone using that pop out Schedule Board since it is shared across the org.
