From Microsoft to GitHub to Moveworks

After 14 years shaped by Microsoft and GitHub, today is my last day. Next week, I’m joining the Moveworks team at ServiceNow as a Senior Staff Developer Advocate!

I filmed this at Dinton Pastures, where I tend to go when I want to have a think! I reflect on starting as a Microsoft intern, working through many teams including Services, FastTrack for Azure and customer success, then spending four years at GitHub in enterprise advocacy and Developer Relations.

There have been some incredible moments, like too many community events to count, conferences and many product launches (like Copilot Chat on GitHub.com through to GitHub Models, Copilot Workspace, GitHub Spark and the Copilot cloud agent). AI has changed a lot in that time, going from completions to chat to agents, MCP and tool calls that can act on real systems.

My YouTube channel is changing too! Cloud With Chris is becoming “Chris Reddington”, keeping AI, software development and cloud, with a bit more of the personal side mixed in.

Thank you to the colleagues, managers, friends, family and community who made these years what they were.
