Surveys in Dynamics 365 Marketing – part 2

Dynamics 365 Marketing, and Forms Pro solution set up

New and shiny D365Marketing Environment

We just set up our brand new and shiny marketing environment called 365community, which we are going to use to showcase Forms Pro surveys and eventually integrating them in a customer journeys and sending them as part of a marketing campaign. Exciting, right?? ? And because any journey is more fun with friends, in this blog series, I will be taking you on the journey with me. In case you have missed part 1, you can catch up here or here.

So let’s see what we have today –

We wanted to make sure we had all the components installed on the new environment. Navigating to the Instance Picker and looking at the solutions installed, it does show that Forms Pro is installed.

However, navigating to the Forms Pro Portal and selecting our environment from the list, we get a permissions error.

You might see the same screen even if you have an exiting environment where Forms Pro has never been installed.

Setting this up is easy, all I had to do was go to Appsource and find the Forms Pro solution.

Click Get it now > accept the terms and conditions > Select the right environment from the dropdown > Agree.

This redirects you to the Instance picker, where you can see your Forms Pro Solution is pending installation. Give it a few minutes, mine took less than 5.

And you are all set. Now returning to Forms Pro, you can select your environment from the list and start creating your surveys.

To be extra sure that everything has worked as expected, in your marketing environment go to Advanced Find and make sure you can see all of the Forms Pro entities that have showed up in the list.
