Progressive Web App technologies provide developers an opportunity to build cross-platform web applications using one codebase with modern web technologies. Because of these web technologies, PWAs can behave like native applications without the headache of having to write multiple codebases to ship the same app across platforms.
PWA APIs have come a long way since the introduction of things like Service Worker and Push notifications. In this talk, I’ll go over the new APIs, such as Windows Control Overlay and PWAs as URL Handlers, that are currently in development in standards groups or that are being shipped in browsers that continue to provide deeper functionality and integration with operating systems for an even richer, native-like experience with web technologies.
