All the new features coming for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Data for release wave 1 2025 is now out! Where CI-Journey have nothing after May, CI-Data has a lot of features coming, all the way until November! Some of these are really good and will be a huge improvement!
Release wave 1 2025 Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys
PP – April ’25 GA – July ’25
This is probably one of my favorite new features coming in this release! The better a job you do with getting all your data, from all systems in CI-D – the easier it can be for users to get hold of this data.
Data from your ERP system, that you don’t want in Dataverse can be accessible through Copilot and CI-D. Measures and predictions from CI-D can help sales and Customer Service Agents in working smarter and in a better way, being able to sell smarter and deliver better customer service.
PP – August ’25 GA – September ’25
Have you ever created a bot in Copilot Studio? If you haven’t – you should really try it, it’s a whole new world! One of the things I like the best about creating a bot in Copilot studio is the ability to connect to other knowledge sources and having them find the answers without you training them. Adding CI-Data as a knowledge search will be an option from August 2025! I know I’m really looking forward to testing this out and seeing how we can use the data and getting easier access to data.
PP – June ’25
Connect directly to your Fabric OneLake, with no need to copy data, thus making the integration a whole lot easier and faster
PP – March ’25 GA – June ’25
Having a lot of data is a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. If you need to update all data everyday or every sync, it can take a very long time. With this feature it will only look at updated data in the Delta Lake, making the speed of the update a lot quicker.
PP – July ’25 GA – September ’25
There’s been a lot of updates to getting data into CI-Data, but this feature is about getting data back into Fabric OneLake. Get unified profiles, segments, measures and everything from CI-Data to Fabric OneLake, one lake to rule all your data.
PP – August ’25 GA – November ’25
Like the previous feature, this is all about getting data out from CI-Data again, this time to your own Azure Data Lake. Now you’ll be able to choose which tables you want to sync from CI-Data, and you can choose if you want it formatted as CSV, Parquet or Data Parquet. Again, making the synchronization simpler and quicker.
PP – March ’25 GA – June ’25
With this you can finally use behavioral data from Customer Insights – Journeys in your CI-Data segments. In a segment for your high value customers, you can add the filter of having opened their emails in the segment. This way you only get customers in the segment who have previously opened emails and be relevant for another email campaign. Or maybe you want a segment of customers who have a high churn score, where you don’t have consent, making it harder for you to contact them and avoid them churning. All this and more will now be available when you get the behavioral data from CI-Journey.
