Do we need customer portals? – #D365ForHousing

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying we shouldn’t have a smart, convenient, cost effective way for customers to access services. But should it always involve working on our terms? By that I mean visiting a URL that we set using a password and username we provide to access services we decide to surface. Are there alternatives out there?

The answer is yes, one of them is the CRM bot by Artur Zielinski. His product can work with a variety of sources from Facebook messenger to a website and interact with customers in a way that suits them.

We got together and hooked his CRM Bot to the Income module I’m building and Facebook messenger. The results of our proof of concept were brilliant. We show you how:

  • Customers can use Facebook messenger to pay their rent and set up agreements at a time and place that works for them.
  • How these exchanges are stored in Dynamics 365 so you can use dashboards or be proactive in the way you support your customers.
