Not too long ago I did the release wave 2 post for Customer Insights – Journeys, and I thought that would be most of the things we were getting until March. This post shows how wrong I was, and I’ve never been more happy to be wrong!
The release planner for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys is a great way to keep up to date with what the Customer Insights team is doing and new stuff that’s coming out. Sometimes they sneak in new stuff that’s not in the release wave, and the team doesn’t seem to have had much vacation, because there are a lot of new features now!
PP is Public Preview and GA is General Available.
WAITLISTS!!!! Do you know how many times I’ve asked for this, it’s a feature they should’ve had from the start with events, but now it’s finally here, or it will be in pp in October.
You can enable the waitlist and create segments for the people on that list, you’ll even get a cancellation button for the registrants to use. This is a much awaited feature, and I’m so happy we’re finally getting it! And you don’t even need Power Pages for it to work (like you did in Outbound)
This one sneaked straight in to GA! The possibility to see insights for different devices in an email. This will help marketeers in deciding which device to focus on when creating the email. If you have more people using outlook on an Android, then that might be your focus area in designing the email. Love the new analytics functionality coming out.
I know some enterprise customers who have been dreaming about this feature, and they’ve sneaked it to the system and it’s already in pp, GA is December! Sometimes you don’t want to overwhelm your customer service and restrict the amount of people going through a journey each day. Now you can do this with the rate limit functionality where you can set the maximum number of people who can go through a journey per day.
The event portal is finally back! We can now use an out-of-the-box Power Page template which gives you easy access to all events and everything connected once they’re published. It also states you can embed it in an existing website and I’m very curious to see how that will work!
Have you ever dreamed about getting hold of your interaction data or other data from CI-J? Do you not want to invest in Fabric, or your boss says no to Fabric? Well this is good news for you! With this feature you can export data (also the interaction data!) to your preferred storage without Fabric!
Managing events looks to be a lot easier in the feature! I’m very curious to see how this feature will look, but it seems like segments, journeys and emails will be easier to create and all be in the event management experience. This I look very much forward to seeing, but we have to wait for the pp in January!
Have you ever been annoyed that you had to choose between either leads of contact when you create a rtm form? Yeah, me too, and most of my customers as well. This will change in Q1 2025. Now you can create or not create leads and/or contacts from one form! You can create more matching rules and preset the audience so it’s ready when you go into a new form. I look very much forward to seeing how this will work, I think it will be a very good feature.
