AI-era dating: Power Automate, AI Prompts & a bit of chaos

Abdul KareemD365HR1 week ago49 Views

Sometimes is cool to have fun while playing with tech, right? So I did a weird test and it was fun – thank you to the friends who supported this experiment and pretended to be interested in going out on a date with me 🙂

My user story:

  • As a single person looking for potential partners,

  • I want to collect information from interested candidates and gain insight into their intentions,

  • So that I can engage with people who align with my expectations and avoid mismatches.

To create and materialize my user story into a solution I had to think of a solution that fits and it's manageable, easy, efficient and responsible – yes, it's compliant with Responsible AI guidelines. Finally, I decided to follow this process:

I create a Microsoft Form with some questions:

  • Some details I can use to reach out to the person

  • Date and activity for a first date

  • Their interpretation of "serious but open"

  • Something they are good at

I generate a QR code linking to the form – a default option when sharing Microsoft Forms – and share it in specific channels I believe will find my target audience.

Now is the part I dislike most, which is waiting basically. as this is a hypothetical case (is it?) I shared it with friends who kindly helped. When they finally submit the answer – using a flow within Power Automate – it will require my approval to run the AI prompts within the process. Responsible AI in the house.

Approval in Teams:

AI Prompt in Power Automate:

Once the summarization is approved and run, I get an email that summarizes the profile of the person who submitted the request.

Some of my friends were so kind to submit their answers and this is what we got:

Sky is a wine enthusiast with a passion for tarot, seeking a balance between commitment and spontaneity in dating. They envision a romantic first date sipping wine on a rooftop, enjoying the view and each other's company. With a laid-back yet thoughtful approach, Sky is ready to explore meaningful connections while keeping an open mind.

Jordan is an adventurous spirit who loves to have fun and explore new opportunities, especially in the realm of technology with a focus on the Power Platform. They envision a romantic first date walking along the beach, enjoying the scenery and each other's company. With a mindset of being serious yet open, Jordan seeks meaningful connections while embracing spontaneity.

Have you tried this sort of combo? Let me know your thoughts and what use cases have you worked with 🙂
