It’s time for another release wave, lets look at what Microsoft are working on for the next six months. This post covers Customer Insights – Data, I also have another post about Customer Insights – Journeys.
Like all my other release wave posts GA is general available and PP is public preview. You can read the full and updated release notes here.
PP March 2026
When you chat with your Copilot you’ll get answers rooted in data from Customer Insights. Your salespeople can get insights from the churn analysis or the lifetime value or any other information based on the data you’ve put in CI-Data. The analysis, segments and transactions will all be available for Copilot and can help everyone in the organisation utilise the work you’ve put in CI-D.
PP March 2026
Same as with the Copilot feature, this feature makes it possible for your Copilot Studio agents to get access to data from CI-Data. You can add insights from CI-D as knowledge sources for agents. The agents get information they can use to make better qualified decisions rooted in your own customer data.
PP February 2026
Get access to your CI-Data data in Fabric OneLake. You now don’t have to export your insights from CI-Data, you can just connect it to Fabric OneLake.
GA October 2025
The feature we got in preview in June, is coming to general availability in October. This feature is super important for a lot of customers. This is a way to simply filter data in your tables. Maybe you have a lot of inactive records in Dataverse that you don’t want to have in CI-D, now you can filter them out.
PP September 2025, GA March 2026
You now will get native support for Delta Lake table format in CI-Data. This gives you the availability to track changes to data and use incremental data updates. This way you don’t have to update all the data, only the data that’s actually changed.
PP December 2025, GA March 2026
Connect directly with Fabric OneLake or other systems with the mirroring or shortcut capabilities from Fabric. This way you don’t have to copy the data, but shortcuts the data and removes the tedious job of moving all the data.
GA October 2025
This is a feature that’s been in preview for a very long time. It’s finally getting out of preview, love to see features in CI-Data moving over to ga!
PP September 2025, GA March 2026
How many of you have missed the interaction data from CI-Journeys? I know I have, and all my customers as well. The behavioral data will be available in CI-Data, like email opens or clicks – finally, we’ve been waiting on the ability to use this data!
