Canvas Apps: Display CDS Owner Field. Conditional if Statement and Polymorphic Lookups – YouTube

This video is part of my ‘Easy Opportunities Manager’ series, which documents building a basic #CanvasApp #PowerApp to easily manage opportunity records in the Common Data Service (#CDS). The series is aimed at beginners and provides a complete step by step walkthrough of how to build an app on the #Microsoft #PowerPlatform. In the third episode of ‘Freefalling Through… Canvas Apps’ I add the opportunity status and opportunity owner field to the galley items. Adding these fields will increase visibility and make testing the filters we add later easier.

In doing so, I’ll use my first conditional (If) statement as well as the AsType and IsType functions to display the correct data in the owner field.
