Today is the day we find out all the cool and useful things Microsoft has developed. They will release these until October 2025. The release wave 1 2025 is out! I’ll write one post on Customer Insights – Journeys. Another post will cover Customer Insights – Data. These posts will go through what’s coming in this release.
Topics that has been previously released in public preview, now going to general availability (meaning production ready):
Now let’s move on to the new stuff! Some of these has been released in the release planner already, but let’s go through them.
PP – Feb ’25 GA – April ’25
If you want to get a hold of your engagement data, but not use Fabric to get it? You’ll now be able to export the data to your own storage without the use of Fabric.
PP – Feb ’25 GA – April ’25
This feature can already be tested if you update to the latest version. You’ve been able to wait for a trigger to be triggered before. Now you can wait for a contact to be part of a segment to decide the path in the journey.
GA – April ’25
We’ve had quiet times for a while now. Several of my customers have wanted to separate the quiet times based on the location of their customer. That’s coming in April! You’ll be able to set conditions on the quiet time. Maybe you want customers who live in Norway have one quiet time, and customers in New York have a different quiet time. These are all queries you can have on the settings in the quiet time settings.
GA – April ’25
Have you ever wanted to pause a journey and start it again at a later point? Maybe you don’t have the capacity to deal with the work that comes from the journey. Or something happened in the world which makes you want to stop the information flow. You can pause and re-start a journey from April.
PP – Feb ’25 GA – April ’25
If you want to send emails to customers on their birthday, you use recurring journeys. These can trigger every day. But what happens if you want to trigger the journey as soon as someone comes in the segment? Well, you’ve not been able to create this – until this feature! With this checkbox, contacts can go through the one-time journey again if they come back to the segment.
PP – March ’25 GA – May ’25
Will this be the time when we finally get waitlists? For events, waitlists are important, so this is a very needed feature.
PP – April ’25
Communications for events can be such a huge job to maintain. With this feature it’ll be a whole lot easier. You’ll be able to see the journey for the event on the event itself! Use journey templates to easily create journeys for each of your events. I can’t wait to test this out!
PP – March ’25 GA – May ’25
Another feature we’ve been seen before, but are still waiting for. Adding columns in forms without adding it to Dataverse. Let’s hope this is the time we’ll see it in our systems.
PP – Feb ’25 GA – April ’25
The Power Pages template for event is now ready for real-time marketing! This makes running events even easier with the out of the box features with Power Pages.
PP – Feb ’25 GA – April ’25
The previous feature is the event portal based on Power Pages. This feature is using Javascript code or the event API to create your own event portal on your own CMS of choice.
That was all the features that’s out now for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys. Some of you might have noticed that all these features will be out on or before May 2025. I can assure you this doesn’t mean the team isn’t working on anything else, or takes a long vacation! Make sure you keep an eye on the release planner to get everything new that’s coming at a later date!
