New field in SSRS Temp table not reflecting the data – D365FO

Since D365FO is highly customizable, customers frequently request the addition of new fields in reports. However, this can sometimes become cumbersome or challenging when a straightforward extension of the field and logic fails to populate the value in the report as expected.

When a new field is added to an SSRS temp table, even if the logic is correct, the report might not display the field due to a cache issue.

Follow the below steps to unblock

  1. Go to ‘Report Server Configuration Manager’ .

Click ‘Apply’ to reset the connection .

This takes few seconds where the results will be displayed in the below grid.

Click on the URL

Upon clicking the URL, we will be landed to the below page. Click ‘Dynamics’ where it shows the list of reports.

Click on hamburger symbol (…) available against each report and there is an option to ‘DELETE’

Delete the report and redeploy from AOT.

This workaround might save your time if you are confident on the field logic extended for the requirement.
